Short Film News (SFN) - The 21st edition of International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) will open with Dutch artist Renzo Martens' Episode 3 on November 20, 2008.

The documentary shows that how suppliers of African export product themselves hardly profit at all from the huge amounts of money made from their poverty.

IDFA organizers announced that this year a striking amount of films deal with Africa and according to them, Episode 3 is a film that constantly challenges the viewer, and it will be sure to provoke discussion.

The film which will screen in festival's First Appearance Competition was pitched as a project at the Forum in IDFA 2007.
