The success of two Iranian Films in Tirana Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- Two Iranian short films are among the special mentioned films of the 8th edition of Tirana International Film Festival.

According to this report, the festival which took place from 1st till 7th December in the capital city of Albania, dedicated the award of The Best Film of TIFF to My Mother Learns Cinema by Nesimi Yetik from Turkey.

In Fiction Section, Impermissible Problem by Ahmad Golzarian, together with four other films from Belgium, U.S.A, France, and Spain won the award of Special Mention.

In this same section the best award went to On the Line by Retto Caffi from Germany & Beijing Haze by J. P. Chan from U.S.A.

One Day Full of Pain by Sattar Chaman Goli is another Iranian film in this festival which won the special mentioned award of Documentary section together with another film from England.

In this section, also, Zietek by Bartosz Blaschke from Poland & Left Behind by Andreas Grefenstein & Fabian Dub from Germany won the best documentary award.

The Best Animation Award went to The Bear's Hand by Marina Rosseti from Switzerland and two films from Argentina, U.K & U.S.A received the Special mention of this section.

Yours Truly, an animation by Osbert Parker from U.K won the Public Award and the Media Award went to Deep Transition by G. Pedone & E. Eshja from Italy and Albania.

Also Stairs and The First Day of Classes won the Best Albanian Movie Award.
