Short Film News (SFN)- Marjan Riahi Founder & Manager of SFN will serve on the jury of the 2010 Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema.
Riahi will judge as a member of the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC).
Marjan Riahi has also judged at the 2007 Kabul International Documentary and Short Film Festival in Afghanistan, the 7th Third Eye Asian Film Festival in 2008, India, the 2008 & 2009 Grand Off - European Off Film Awards in Poland, and International ZOOM – ZBLIŻENIA Film Festival in 2009, Poland.
Her first directing experience was a documentary called Eternal Mothers, which was screened in numerous Iranian and International Festivals and won the 2002 Best Short Documentary Award of the Dubai Short Film Festival.
The 16th Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema, to kick off on Jan. 26, will screen films from Taiwan, China, Turkey, India, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, the Philippines and Iran.
Paper Airplanes by Iran's Farhad Mehranfar will participate in the French festival's Youth Cinema section and Babak Jalali's Frontier Blues will be screened in the event's feature competition section.
Seven Women by Sara Rastegar will be Iran's representative in the festival's documentary section.
