Berlinale Short film festival heads to Vietnam

Short Film News (SFN)- The International Film Festival of Berlin  will bring the 10 winners of its short film category to Vietnam in August.

Three stones for Jean Genet, a film by German director Frieder Schlaich that has won the highest prize of the festival, will be screened along with nine others, including Marc Jacobs from Holland, Symphony No.42 from Hungary, Birds from Germany and A Paradise from Cuba.

The Berlinale shorts, all of which are maximum of 30 minutes long, will be shown for free at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi at 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street on August 8 and 9 starting at 7 p.m.
The films will feature subtitles in both English and Vietnamese.

A two-night screening of the short films will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 15 and 16 at 19B Pham Ngoc Thach Street in District 3, though the time has yet to be announced.

This is the first time the Berlinale shorts will be screened in the southern city.
