Short Film News (SFN)- The 29th Tehran International Short Film Festival announced its winners on Sunday.
The winners received their awards during a closing ceremony at the Vahdat Hall.
Roua Nazar from Jordan won the Best Fictional Film Award for her “The Last Hour” in the international competition section and the Best Experimental Film Award went to “We’ll Become Oil” by Mihai Grecu from Romania.
“Odysseus’ Gambit” by American director Alex Lora was named the best documentary and “Red Line” by Iranian director Mona Abdollah Shahi won the Best Animated Film Award.
The Best Fiction Film Award in the national competition section went to “The Wind Will Tell Something” directed by Ali Mardomi and the Best Documentary Film Award was presented to Vahid Zarezadeh for “Shah-Rokh”.
Ahamd Mehran won the Best Animated Film Award for “Opening”.
Yadollah Samadi, Reza Purhossein, Esfandiar Shahidi, Morteza Shabani, Mohammadreza Gohari and Bahram Javanrudi were the jury members of the national competition section.
Screening top works from previous editions of the festival and holding review sessions and several workshops were among the various programs, which had been arranged on the sidelines of the event.
