Iranian films line up for Geneva festival

Short Film News (SFN)-  Several Iranian short films and documentaries have found ways into the 7th Edition of the International Oriental Film Festival in Geneva running from April 28 to May 6.
 
The documentary “The Last Days of Winter” by Mehrdad Oskuii is a portrait of seven Iranian boys in a youth detention center, talking candidly about their lives.
 
Also included are four short films by Iranian directors taking part in the competition and non-competition sections of the festival.
 
“Lipstick” by Peyman Mo’adi is an entry in the competition section, while “A Cozy Place for the Fish” by Naser Zamiri, “The Slap” by Ehsan Amani and “Afar” by Puya Parsamaqam are entries in the non-competition section.
 
The 7th edition of the International Oriental Film Festival in Geneva - organized by the FIFOG (Festival International du Film Oriental de Geneva)
Association - will be presenting some of the most original and innovative films from both the East and the West.
