Short Film News (SFN)- Marjan Riahi spoke in the 17th edition of Golden Elephant International Children Film Festival as the head of jury.

Marjan Riahi, the documentaries and the Manager of Short Film News has a speech on Children’s cinema on 15th November.

She began her speech mentioning that the 25th edition of International Children & Young Adult Film Festival was holding at the same time with Golden Elephant in her country and in the historic city of Isfahan.

She added: “Before holding this festival, Iranian children sent their message of peace and friendship throughout 40 embassies and now it is my duty to say the regards of Isfahan children and Ahmad MerAlaiee, the festival director, to you.”

She said: about 20 films were made this year on Children Cinema in Iran and all of them are going to be shown in this Festival in Isfahan.

The goals of Isfahan Festival are so similar to Golden Elephant’s and its new edition is holding with the motto of happiness for children. I hope that in the next years the festival organizers can arrange it so that these two festivals will not be held simultaneously and both of these festivals will have the advantages of mutual cooperation.

The festival organizers of the Golden Elephant welcomed any mutual cooperation with Isfahan International Children & Young Adult Film Festival and they hoped that they can participate in it if the festivals will not be held simultaneously.

This meeting was held by the presence of A.K. Madhavan the CEO of Reliance Animation in India and in addition to Marjan Riahi, Xiaojuan Zhou, President, Delphis Films, Montreal, Canada, Elizabeth Shephard, Director, Seattle Children’s Film Festival & Formar Director, Chicago Children’s  Film Festival & Rock Demers, the Canadian producer had speech.

The golden Elephant Children Festival which was biennial event till now id going to be an annual event from next year.
