Marjan Riahi to be member of “Golden Elephant” jury

Short film News (SFN)- Marjan Riahi will attend the 17th International Children’s Film Festival India (ICFFI) also known as The Golden Elephant as a Chairperson of Shorts Competition.

Every two years, the festival begins on 14th November, the birth date of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, because of his love for children. Nehru established CFSI soon after India’s independence with the hope that indigenous and exclusive cinema for children would stimulate their creativity, compassion and critical thinking, and it is this vision that guides us at ICFFI.

ICFFI is one of the largest and most colourful children’s film festivals in the world. Outstanding features, shorts, live action and animation films are screened over seven days of festive celebrations.

Marjan Riahi, the Documentarist and the Manager of SFN, will attend the Golden Elephant as a Chairperson of Shorts Competition.

ICFFI “Golden Elephant” will take place from 14th to 20th November 2011, in the historic city of Hyderabad.
