Iranian Films Line up for 16th Busan Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- Several Iranian futures and short films have found ways into the 16th Busan International Film Festival.

Iranian films will be presented across various sections of the festival.

A Cube of Sugar by Reza MIRKARIMI, Daughter¡¦ Father¡¦ Daughter by Panahbarkhoda REZAEE, Death is My Profession by Amir Hossein SAGHAFI, Ephemeral Weddings by Reza SERKANIAN, Final Whistle by Niki KARIMI, Goodbye by Mohammad RASOULOF, Mourning by Morteza FARSHBAF, Raw, Cooked, Burned by Shahram MOKRI and Three and a Half by Naghi NEMATI are Iranian Films among the films scheduled to be screened at the festival.

Each year, Busan International Film Festival selects distinguished film professionals for its hand printing ceremony to honor their outstanding contributions to the history of world cinema. This year's honorees are:

Kee-duk KIM / Director / South Korea
Luc BESSON / Director, Producer / France
Yonfan / Director / Hon Kong
Isabelle HUPPERT / Actress / France

The Busan International Film Festival due to be held October 6-14 is one of the most important film events in Asia which was launched in September 1996 in Busan, South Korea and Asian Film Market and Asian Project Market are from October 10 to October 13.
