26 Films in International Competition of Cinema Verite

Short Film News (SFN)- The name list of 26 short films and features selected for the international competition of Iran International Documentary Film Festival: Cinema Verite is announced.
13 films in Short Documentary Section (less than 60 minutes) and 13 films in Feature Documentary section (over 60 minutes) are going to be shown.
The name list of the films in International Competition of this festival which are produces in 2006 & 2007 are as follows:
Short Documentary:
By the River ( Magda Kowalczyk / Poland), Enemies of Happiness ( Eva Mulvad / Denmark), Interrogations ( Namik Kabil / Bosnia), Maria ( Victor Asliuk / Belarus), The Man on the Tree ( Paula Mercedes / Brazil), Breadmakers ( Yasmin Fedda / Scotland), Zone of Initial Dilution ( Antoine Boutet / France & China), The Steps (Vladimir Perovic / Monte Negro), McLaren's Negatives ( Marie-Jose Saint-Pierre / Canada), Lessons from Bam (Alireza Ghanie / Austria), Leila (Batool Rezaiee Moradi / Afghanistan), Capture in Tehran (Leila Naderi / Iran), Mountain's Sad Song ( Hamed Khosrawi / Iran) 
Feature Documentary:
Mona Lisa (Li Ying / China & Japan), Carla's List (Marcel Shupbach / France), Sketches of Frank Gehry (Sidney Pollack / America), USA vs Al-Arian (Line Halvorsen / Norway), Are You Playing Tonight? (Ulf Peter Hallberg / Sweden), The Halfmon Files (Philip Scheffner / Germany), Voices of Bam (Aliona van der Horst / Netherlands), Me, the President (Mariano Cohn & Gaston Dupart / Argentina), Invisible (Rose Mortimer / England), City of Photographers (Sebastian Moreno / Chile), Pedra, a Reporter without Borders (Villi Hermann / Switzerland), Palestine Blues (Nida Sinnokrot / Palestine), Where do I Belong to? ( Mahvash Sheikholeslam / Iran)
The two grand prizes of this international festival are 10 thousand and 7 thousand Euros which is going to be dedicated to the selected short and feature documentaries.
The special jury prize is 5 thousand Euros to be given to the selected filmmaker.
The first Iran International Documentary Film Festival is going to be held November 14-18 in Tehran.
