Short Film News (SFN)- Disconnection by Mahmood Nouri is among the 10 finalists of Hong Kong Independent Short Film & Video Awards.
This film, along with 9 other short films from South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, India, Thailand, and Philippines are the candidates to win the award of Asian New Force Category.
The awards of this event will be dedicated to the winners which would be elected by a 5-member jury team.
The other short films in this category are: 4 Kilometers (Miri Shapiro), Film of the Sea (Takashi Ishida), Go to School (Pan Hsin-ju ), The Dream of Cortazar (Lee Jin-Woo), Fading (Shen Ko-Shang), The Old Fool Who Moved the Mountains (Joanna Vasquez Arong), The Soliloquist (Ma Kuang Pei), Tremble (Chen Xuegang), and Yet in Exile (Alice Kok).
Open Category, Youth Category, Animation, and Interactive Media are the other categories of this event in which other awards will be dedicated. Hong Kong Independent Short Film & Video Awards will be started on 13th March and will be continued its work for 10 days.
The call entry of this event has been announced in September each year and the Asian filmmakers interested in participating in it can send their films to the event organizers till November.
