20 Iranian Shorts at Third Eye Asian Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- 20 Iranian short films will be competing at the 8th Third Eye Asian Film Festival.

Alternation by Mahdi Fard Ghaderi, Next Life, Painters, Tears, Lovers, There Is Nobody Anymore, My Mom Has A Long Shadow, Sun Me Shadow, Wind Blows where Ever it Wants by Kaveh Ghahremany, Torko , Torento , Tehran by  Kaveh Ovaisi, Boomrang by Daryoush Gharibzadeh, Relationship by Kourosh Jahed, The empty fish bowl by Atefeh Khandemolreza, The last image of a memory by Amir Reza zarrinbakhsh, The reality of Dream by Daryoush Ghazbani, Whistling Under Water by Hooshmand Varai, Life by Shabnam Gholikhani, No 121 by Amin Montazeri, Father Gave Water by Mahdi Jafari and water by Roqiye Tavakoli are Iranian shorts among the films scheduled to be screened at the festival.

The festival will screen films in Spectrum Asia, First/Second Film Competition, Best Short Film Competition, A Retrospective of Past award winners, Focus on One Asian Country, Retro and Asian Film Culture Award sections.
 
Established to promote Asian cinema, the festival gives the Asian Film Culture Award to filmmakers who are making efforts to popularize Asian cinema in the world.

The 8th Third Eye Asian Film Festival will run from October 8-15, 2009 at Mumbai by the news sponsoring of SFN.
