Short Film News (SFN)- Two Iranian films won the awards of Ismailia Festival in Egypt and Brno Festival in Czech Republic.
One Day after the 10th Day by Narges Abiar won the award of the best short documentary of Ismailia Short Film & Documentary Film Festival.
The 12th edition of the festival was finished on 25th October by announcing the winners and this film won the Golden Trophy of the festival and the amount of 6 thousand Egypt Pounds.
One Day after the 10th Day is Narges Abiar's first documentary and she was known as novel and fiction writer before and she has made two fictions till now as well.
Also the 49th edition of Brno16 which was hold in Czech Republic from 15th till 19th October, dedicated the award of Petr Hvizd to Boomerang by Dariush Gharibzadeh, an Iranian filmmaker from Boushehr.
This award dedicates to a new filmmaker each year and has an independent jury team.
The Grand Prize of Brno16 went to On the Line by Reto Caffi that was a co-production of Germany and Switzerland.
Boomerang won the Crystal Simorgh of the best short film in Fajr International Film Festival in 2005.
