Short Film News (SFN)- First 'India International Youth Film Festival' awarded two Iranian short films.
Participating films in this festival were made by directors under the age of 35. These films were screened in two days at the films division auditorium of Jawaharlal Nehru university in New Delhi.
There were about 50 short Documentary and Fiction movies screened of which were movies made by rural regional on Mobile phone cameras.
The best short film award went to Mahmoud Nouri's Disconnection from Iran and Jeena Isi Ka Naam hai by Mohd. Sajauddin Khan won the Best Documentary.
Farhad Mukhtari's Marsh Bell was the other Iranian film reaching the award.
Echoes by Rebana John, Boond by Zehra and Shagufta, Zindagi, Ek Alpviram made by Priyashree Kashyap and Viva La Revolution, an Australian movie were the other winners of the short film section.
And in the documentary section Shweta's Autism and Me, Rup Rupantar by Viveka Chauhan, Yasir Ali Mirza's Outlines of Darkness and Maachis ko Sinka by Radha Mohini Prasad won the awards.
This event was started in February 1st 2010 and the closing ceremony was held on the 3rd.
