Iranian Short Film Commended and the Winners Announced in Depict

Short Film News (SFN)- The grand award of DepicT! ’08 went to an English film.

Enough by Tor Kristoffersen which impressed the jury member of this competition will receive ₤2000.

Commending In the Name of God by Hamed Nobari from Iran, the jury dedicated their special admire to What’s Virgin Mean? by Michael Davies.

Also the audience award of DepicT! ’08 went to Breaking the Mould by Rebecca Manley and Luca Paulli.

DepicT! short film competition which is organized under the supervision of Bristol Short Film Festival is specified for 90-seconds short films.

This year 350 films from 33 countries participated in this competition and among the 12 final nominees there were 2 Iranian films. In addition to Nobari’s film, The Sting of the String Mehdi Jafari was among the nominees.

The nominees screened on 22nd November and the jury chose the winners of the competition.

Also in selecting the best audience film, 1800 audiences voted.
