"Cyanosis" the Winner of Two Prizes in Tampere Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- Cyanosis, a short film by Rokhsareh Ghaem Maghami, which was the only representative from Iran in the 38th edition of Tamprere International Short Film Festival, won two prizes.

Cyanosis was in LAB10 section of this festival and won The Diploma Merit of Jury and the Audiences Award.

The jury members of this newly-established competitive section of the festival explained Cyanosis as "a film that uses an interesting mix of cinema language to create a remarkable human story that comes from heart".

In LAB10 competition the Main Prize went to The Life Size Zoetrope by Mark Simon Hewis from England and also Russian Choir by Sebastian Fischer from Germany won the Diploma of Merit.

In Finnish Competition, Mazdak Nasir, an originally Iranian filmmaker won the Main Prize of Under 30 Minutes film for his film High Hopes.

In the International Competition of this festival, Madam Tutli-Putli, the Candian animation which was an Oscar candidate won the Grand Prix. The film is by Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski and won The Best Animation and The Audience Award in the International Competition as well.

The Best Fiction Award in International Competition went to Rene by Tobias Noelle from Switzerland and The Best Documentary Award was dedicated to Bidcatcher by Pim Zwier and Marc Scmidt from Netherlands.

The 38th edition of Tampere International Short Film Festival took place from 5 till 9 March.
