Sundance Institute Supports an Iranian Documentary

Short Film News (SFN)- Sundance Institute selected 16 documentaries to be provided by artistic and financial support from Documentary Fund.

The documentaries are selected among 325 projects and there is an Iranian film among them.

The grant includes 3 sections: post-production, production, and technical procedure and is given to the filmmakers.

"From China, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Iran and the United States, this program is considered our most international docket yet," said Cara Mertes, Director of the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program.

In this year's Sundance Documentary supporting program, 6 projects in idea and screenwriting stage will be supported and 8 projects in production and technical procedure will receive the grants.

Women in Shroud by Farid Haerinejad and Mohammad Reza Kazemi is the Iranian documentary which receives this financial support.

This film, also won the financial support of Jan Vrijman Fund related to Amsterdam Documentary Festival as well.
