Short Film News (SFN)- Two Iranian films are going to be screened in the competition section of the 24th edition of Hamburg Short Film Festival.

The festival is going to take place from 4 till 9 June and is going to show about 300 short films from 40 countries.

The International Competition of this festival has 10 programs and the only Iranian film in this part is It is Not Absurd by Ali Chakav.

NoBudget Competition is another section of International competition and Alternation by Mehdi Fard Ghaderi is the only representative from Iran in this section.

German Competition, Mo&Friese Children's Short Film Festival, and Three Minute Competition - whose subject is smoke- are the other sections in this festival.

Retrospective: Muenchner Gruppe, Shorts from Israel, Today: Tomorrow's Yesterday, and On the Boon and Bane of Experts are the sections in Special Program of the festival.

Hamburg Festival was established on 1985 under the title NoBudget; it improved during the last 2 decades and now it is one of the most important events on short films in Europe.
