Another Iranian Documentary in HotDocs Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- The screening programs of all sections in 15th edition of HotDocs Documentary Film Festival are announced.

In the International Competition of this festival 27 films from different countries will be screened among which there is one Iranian film.

Head Wind by Mohammad Rasoulof is the only Iranian representative in International Competition which competes with other films.

In the non-competition section of World Showcase 43 films are going to be screened and the following films are in this section: The Crown (Amanda Micheli, Isabel Vega), Flow: For Love of Water (Irena Salina), Milosevic on Trail (Michael Christoffersen), Wild Blue Yonder (Celia Maysles).

There are 4 seminars in this festival this year and one of them is especially organized to introduce Iranian Documentary Cinema.

In this seminar, Iran for You, The Iranian filmmakers in the festival will talk about their films and documentary films situation in Iran.

Spotlight on Iran is a program in this festival. The festival organizers selected 6 documentaries to be screened in this program:  All my Mothers by Ebrahim Saeedi and Zahawi Sanjawi, Cyanosis by Rokhsareh Ghaemmaghami, It's Always Late for Freefom by Mehrdad Oskuei, The Red Card by Mahnaz Afzali, Tehran Has no More Pomegranates by Massoud Bakhshi, and Where Do I Belong? by Mahvash Sheikholeslami.
The directors of All My Mothers withdrew their participation in the festival.
