Short Film News (SFN)- Blackmovie Festival of Switzerland has a special section for Iran Cinema this year.
In this festival that kicked off yesterday (1 February) in Geneva, 2 documentaries and 8 films from Iran are going to be screened in a special section: Iran Underground.
Our Times by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad and It's Always Late for Freedom by Mehrdad Oskuie are the two documentaries in this festival.
20 Fingers (Mania Akbari), Cold Earth (Reza Sobhani), Mainline (Rakhshan Bani-Etemad & Mohsen Abdolvahab), Nocturnal (Keivan Alimohammadi & Omid Bonakdar), Some Kilos Dates for Funeral (Saman Salour), The Forbidden Chapter (Fariborz Kamkari), Those Three (Naghi Nemati) are the other films from Iran in the festival.
This festival also has sections retrospective of Taiwanese new wave cinema, Malasian and African Cinemas.
Blackmovie for Kids and screening the praised films in different international festivals are the other programs of Blackmovie festival.
Blackmovie Festival has two awards: The Audiences Award is a distribution grant to be given to the best film selected by the audiences and the Young Adult Jury Award.
Blackmovie Festival will be ended in 10 February.
