Two Iranian Short Films in Short Soup Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- The 5th edition of Short Soup International Short Film Festival is going to be held in Sidney on 20 January 2008.

This year, the festival received more than 250 films from 34 countries among which 19 films from 11 countries were selected and two of them are from Iran.

Short Soup Festival is a one-night program that is going to take place in Sydney Olympic Park and the selected films are going to be screened at the open air and in three categories.

Entree, Main Course, and Dessert are the three categories in this festival and selected Iranian films are Metro by Hamed Shateri in the first category and Zero by Sajad Shahedi in the second category.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority in partnership with Cinewest Organization by the management of Vahid Vahed presents this festival during which the work of new local filmmakers alongside expert practitioners from around the world would be screened.

"We are extremely excited about this year's edition after having nearly 5000 audience members attending last year's event.   It proved that such an event is essential to develop cross cultural audiences to appreciate the art of short films locally and globally."  Mr. Vahid Vahed says.
