Short Film News (SFN)- The selected Iranian films for Iran in focus section of the 7th edition of Helsinki Documentary Film Festival, Finland, is announced.
In DocPoint's selection of Iranian documentary films, titled Iran! Iran!, 18 long and short documentaries by different Iranian filmmakers such as Ebrahim Golestan, Forough Farrokhzad, Kamran Shirdel, and Parviz Kimyavi, are going to be shown.
It's Always Late for Freedom (Mehrdad Oskouie), Voice of Bam (Aliona van der Host and Maasja Ooms), The Ladies (Mahnaz Afzali), Hide Your Words (Behnam Behzadi), Tehran has no Pomegranates! (Masoud Bakhshi), and three documentaries by Ebrahim Mokhtari: Zinat, One Special Day, Mullah Khadijeh and the Kids, and Saffron are the documentaries in this special program.
The other Iranian films to be shown in other sections of this festival are: The Old Man And His Stone Garden (Parviz Kimyavi), The Night It Rained (Kamran Shirdel), Twilight (Mohammad Rasoulof), Trial (Moslem Mansouri), The Apple (Samira Makhmalbaf), The House is Black (Forough Farrokhzad), Crown Jewels (Ebrahim Golestan), Cinema Cinema (Mani Petgar), Our Times (Rakhshan Bani-Etemad), The Faces on the Wall (Paul Costes & Bijan Anquetil).
Doc Point Festival is going to take place in Helsinki from 23 till 27 January and the poster of Iran! Iran! Section is designed with a photot of Forough Farrkokhzad.
