Short Film News (SFN) -The 24th edition of Sundance Film Festival will screen 83 short films.
For the 2008 Sundance Film Festival 83 short films were selected from 5107 submissions. Selected short films represent 17 different countries and will be screened in two sections of American short films and International part.
Although no Iranian feature-length film attend 2008 Sundance Film Festival, the short film of Wind,Ten Years Old directed by Marzieh Vafamehr has been selected for International Short Films Program.
Among American short films are Welcome directed by Kirsten Dunst, the actress of Spider Man series with the cast of Winona Ryder and Green Porno a short documentary directed by sabella Rossellini.
Sundance Film Festival has become a prime source for discovering talented filmmakers, including Todd Haynes, Spike Jonze, Paul Thomas Anderson, Wes Anderson, David O. Russell, Tamara Jenkins, Nicole Holofcener, and Alexander Payne over years.
Continuing Sundance mission of supporting filmmakers, a selection of Festival short films will be available for purchase on three platforms: iTunes, Xbox and Netflix from January 18th until 2011.
