6 Iranian Films in America CinemaEast Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- The second edition of CinemaEast Film Festival opened on 8 November 2007 in New York.

It is a special festival for Middle Eastern and South African films hold by ArteEast Organization and 5 Shorts and documentaries and one feature from Iran are going to be participated in this festival.

This year, 12 features, 22 documentaries and 12 shorts film from 15 countries are going to be shown in it.

The Iranian shorts and documentaries are: Cocoon (Bahman Shahravan), Lipstick (Payman Maadi), POW 57187 (Vahid Zara Zade), Tehran has no More Pomegranates (Massoud Bakhshi), Traveler of the Horizon (Hamid Bahrami), and Mainline (Rakhshan Banietemad & Mohsen Abdolvahab).

Also The Day I Became My Mother, a co-production of Iran & Turkey by Faysal Soysal, is going to be screened in the festival as well.

There will also be a special section for screening the films by Moroccan - French filmmakers on 10th & 11th November.

CinemaEast is a biennial event that is being held till 15th November in IFC center of New York.
