Short Film News (SFN)- Mohammad Taghi Seraj, an Afghani filmmaker, directed The Kite Runner that is a documentary based on a novel with the same name written by Khaled Hosseini.

This documentary shows the wishes, the games and the entertainments of Afghani children through kite running that is the only game for children and teenagers in Afghanistan, especially in Kabul.

The kite is the allegory of Afghanis several years' wishes and pains that fly it in the air.

Mohammad Taghi Seraj is the director and also the producer of this film.

There is also a feature by Marc Forster with the same name and based on the same novel that is going to be released soon.
