IDFA Top 20 Documentaries are Announced

Short Film News (SFN)- IDFA audience has chosen Top 20 IDFA documentaries.

IDFA held an election this summer among its documentary audience to select a personal top 5 from all documentaries made over the past 20 years that screened at IDFA and this Top 20 is going to be shown this year, in the 20th anniversary of this festival.

According to this election the best film is Darwin's Nightmare by Hubert Sauper.

The second film is Nomadal Tx, an Spanish work by Raul de la Fuente and the third one is O Amor Natural by Heddy Honigmann.

The other famous films among this list are Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore (5th film), Grizzly Man by Werner Herzog (6th film), The 3 Rooms of Melancholia by Pirjo Honkasalo (10th film), and The Monastery by Pernille Rose Gronkjaer, the winner of Joris Ivens Award in the last edition of IDFA. 

This result is collected from the 8000 valid votes they received.
 
The 20th edition of International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam is going to be held from 22 November - 2 December 2007.
