Short Film News (SFN)- After holding French, Palestinian, Lebanese (2004), and the Netherlands (2005) documentary film panoramas, the Documentary and Experimental Film Centre (DEFC) is going to hold Syrian Documentary Film Panorama at the same time with the first Iran International Documentary Film Festival, Cinema Verite. 

Syrian Documentary Film Panorama is going to be held together with other non-competition parts of Cinema Verite Festival and consists of the most important Syrian documentaries and some works by the most famous directors such as Mohammad Al Roomi, Abdollatif Abdolhamid, and Omar Amraalai.

Syrian cinema is the most important cinema in Islamic countries after Egyptian cinema and its most directors are documentary filmmakers.

DEFC has invited Omar Amraalai to Tehran for participating in this festival.

The first Iran International Documentary Film Festival: Cinema Verite, is going to be held from 15 -19 October 2007 in Tehran.
