
Short Film News (SFN)- The second edition of Iranian Film Festival is going to be held in Luois Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht, the Netherlands, from 21st till 23rd September 2007.
The short film program of this festival which is going to be held by the cooperation of Kanoon, Institution for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults will present 26 features, documentaries, animations and experimental films.
Also 4 feature and semi-feature documentaries are going to be shown in other section of this festival.
It’s Always Late for Freedom (Mehrdad Oskouei), Day of Freedom (Saeed Tarazi), Iran my Lonely Land (Mariette van Muijen and Remko Dekker), The Red Card (Mahnaz Afzali) are the documentaries in this festival.
The short films program includes 5 subjective sections: Society and Politics, Women, Children, The Youth Culture and Life.
The films in Society and Politics section are: Candida (Mohammad Shirvani), I am not Nuclear Energy (Mehdi Ghorbanpour), The Boys of Autumn (Mehdi Ramani), Zero Degree (Omid KHoshnazar), The Lovers: The Victims (Mohammad Ehsani and Kamal Bahar), Yesteday (Kianoosh Anvari), The Thousand Years Old Man (Azadeh Shakouri Rad) and Out in Iran (Haeinejad).
Statue, No Wind Behind Deceased Bridge, Kids Games (3 films by Maryam Fakhimi), A Hasty Story of Simple Revenge with a Happy End (Bahram Tavakoli), and Woman out of the House (Manije Hekmat) are in Women section.
The short films Sidewalk (Farshad Safiei), The Farmer & the Cow (Fatemeh Godarzi), Sweet Story (Mohammad Reza Abedi), Returning Home (Behzad Farahat), and Monkey’s Heart (Michel Krop and Sahand Sahebdivani) are going to be presented in Children section of the festival.
In the Youth Culture section the following films are going to be shown: Iranian Conserve (Mohammad Shirvani), I am a Purifier (Kianoosh Anvari), and Straight Line of a Circle (Amir Moussavi).
Café 469 (Atefeh Khademreza), Shir+Zad (Reza Farahmand), Men Understand Each Other (Marjan Alizadeh), The Lost Waves (Amir Mehran), and I Was Born (Kianoosh Anvari) are the films in Life Section.
The features are: Another Morning (Nasser Refaie), A Few Days Later (Niki Karimi), Do You Have Another Apple (Bayram Fazli), Mainline (Rakhshan Bani-Etemad and Mohsen Abdolvahab), Navel (Mohammad Shirvani), Nocturnal (Keivan Alimohammadi and Omid Bonakdar), and On a Friday Afternoon (Mona Zandi Haghighi).
