Short Film News (SFN)- 15 countries are going to participate in the first official Conference of the Islamic Countries Shorts Filmmakers Union.
This is the first official conference of this Union and is going to be held from 20 till 25 August 2007 in Tehran by the efforts of Iranian Young Cinema Society.
Kuwait, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Palestine, Tunisia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Syria, Qatar, Bosnia, and Kirkizistan are the countries participating in this conference.
They are going to discuss the main subjects and problems such as the subject, the method, the style and the culture of filmmaking, co-producing short films, increasing contacts among the filmmaker groups, exchanging information and experiences and introducing academic methods of making short films, information exchanging for educating and teaching the filmmakers, exchanging instructors, and finding a suitable pictorial language for confronting the images that are against Islam and Moslems all around the world.
