Short Film News (SFN)- Marjan Riahi, Iranian journalist, documentary filmmaker and the manager of Short Film News left for Afghanistan today as a jury member in Kabul Festival.

Also Riahi is going to have a lecture about Iran documentary, its present and past situation and its qualification on July 18, 2007, which is the day of Iran Cinema in this festival.

A seminar on reviving and helping to Afghanistan Cinema and mutual cooperation is going to take place on July 21 in which Riahi together with other guests and some Afghan filmmakers are going to participate.

Retrospective of Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Afghanistan cinemas that are in three different days, are the other programs of this festival.

There are some other filmmakers from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan among the jury members.

The second Kabul Documentary & Short Film Festival is going to be held from 16-21 July 2007.
