Short Film News (SFN)- The 4th International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Verzio will be held November 6 - 11, 2007 in Budapest, Hungary.

The festival accepts documentary films and videos, including shorts, and the entry deadline is August 31. There is no resubmission, nor entry fee.

The principal aim of Verzio festival is to highlight human rights issues, especially for the young, and to create greater global awareness in the public, through documentaries that go beyond the usual media coverage of current social and political affairs.

This year, Verzio will present 40 documentary films within several thematic blocks from all over the world, and the organizers plan to focus on religion and fundamentalism.

Verzio festival is organized by Verzio Film Foundation with the support of the Open Society Archives at Central European University under the auspices of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee.
