Short Film News (SFN)- Iranian actress and director Niki Karimi has been selected as one of the 60th Cannes Film Festival's jury of the Cinefondation and the short films.

The festival will be held from May 16 to 27, while 11 films in short film section and 16 student short films in Cinefondation will compete.
 
Chinese director Jia Zhang ke will preside over the jury, which includes Deborah Nadoolman Landis (costume designer, USA), J.M.G. Le Clezio (writer, France), and Dominik Moll (director, France).

Karimi, 36, was also among the jury members for the debut features section of the 57th Berlin International Film Festival, which took place last February.
