
Short Film News (SFN)- Grizlly Man the recent project of the award winning Verner Herzog will be shown on Fajr Film Festival 1-11 Feb.
German-born filmmaker who has made the documentary about grizzly bears in Alaska just finished filming in Antractica.
Herzog directed his film at Mount Erebus , home of a live volcano in the Antractic Spring.
Veteran filmmaker who is known for such hard working on Fitzcarraldo and Nosferatu travelled on 4.118 meters which is higher than low air pressure.
- People get the wrong impression of the harshness of the place, based on the heroic age of Antarctic explorers like Roald Amundsen, Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton.
Verner Herzog said.
- "It's a perpetuated sort of image since the beginning of 10s when Scott and Amundsen and Shackleton were out here," he said.
- "Now you have got a cafeteria, you have got the barber shop and the TV station. You've got the ATM machine, so what else can you ask for?" Herzog added.
Herzog has traveled to Iran several times on an invitation of Fajr Film Festival.
