The Winners of 23rd Tehran Short Film Festival

 

Short Film News (SFN)- The winners of the 23rd edition of National Festival and the 11th edition of International Tehran Short Film Festival were announced on Sunday evening 26 November 2006 in Tehran.

 

The jury members of the international competition of Tehran International Short Film Festival consisted of John Stanly Wojowski from England, Lassaad Jamoussi from Tunisia, Akbar Alami from Iran, Niclas Gillberg from Sweden, and Stavros Chassapis from Greece and they announced the winners as follows:

 

International Competition:

The Grand Award, Dilemma by Boris Paval Conen from Netherlands, 5000 Euros

The Best Experimental Film, Cross-tie by Joel Pizzini from Brazil, 2500 Euros

The Best Animation,Delivery by Till Nowak  from Germany, 3000 Euros

The Best Documentary,As is their wont  by Galina Adamovich from Belarus, 3000 Euros

The Best Fiction, Oxford Circus by Esteban Gitton from England, 3000 Euros

 

Asian Competition:

The Best Short Film, Shadow & Wind by Inan Arsalanfrom Turkey, 4000 Euros

The Best Film Directing, Little Jockey by Yuli Andari from Indonesia, 3000 Euros

The Best Screenplay, I am an Arab by Mohammad Hadi Tohidi Moghadam from Iran, 3000 Euros

The prize of the Search for Reality section which was 3000 Euros was given to Sunday Afternoon by Gaia Smith Meyer from Czech Republic.

 

In the closing gale of this festival Short Film News was appreciated as the best medium.
