Short Film News - Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and Indiepix.net have announced a partnership to market The Katrina Experience, a boxed-set of 4 DVDs presenting seven documentary films by noted filmmakers focusing on the social impact of last year's Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.
The films, three feature length and four shorts, were part of the 2006 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, and were curated for this DVD collection by Full Frame Festival CEO, Founder and Artistic Director Nancy Buirski
Indiepix.net, the project distributor, is working with Full Frame to market the collection to public and private libraries, university libraries, and K-12 libraries in order to put The Katrina Experience films in the public record and to make them broadly available.
There are over 6,000 public libraries in the U.S that have active video collections. The Katrina Experience collection of 7 films on 4 DVDs is available exclusively through them.
Films included in the box set:
Desert Bayou by Alex LeMay
Tim's Island by Laszlo Fulop and Wickes Helmboldt
New Orleans Music in Exile by Robert Mugge
After Katrina: Rebuilding St. Bernard Parish by Adam Finberg
