Short Film News- The joint project between Soureh & Conrad Wolf Universities came to an end after 9 months and 7 co-productions.
The preproduction of these films started in Sep.-Oct. 2005, and the films were produced till mid-June 2006. The right for screening the productions made with funds from Iran's Hoze Honari, German universities, and ZDF on TV channels and film festivals belongs to both universities.
The docu-dramas made in the 1st phase of this joint project and shot in Isfahan, Bandar Abbas, Neishabour and Minab are Soul Pattern (Pouria Rafi'ee), Hitler (Setareh Samavi & Rouzbeh Kaafi), Coffee Shop (Reza Sheikhalani), and Agitation (Haiko Efdermauer & Amir Ali Mostafalou).
The films shot in the 2nd phase in Birjand and Tehran are Zero One (Sadaf Farahani), Footsteps (Norman Rechter), and Women on Women (Tinatin Gorchiani).
The crew members were selected from among the students of the two universities. The German students worked under Prof. Klaus Estanik and the Iranian students under Hossein Fahimi.
Some instructors from Iranian cinema and art community participated in this project as consultant, including Mohammad Reza Aslani, Mohammad Reza Delpak, Mohammad Hossein Faraji, Ali Akbar Alizadeh, Iraj Ashouri, Ali Loghmani, and Saeid Asadi.
The films with the average time of 15 minutes for each will be shown on German & Iranian TV Channels separately. All the films, in the form of an episodic film, will take part in international festivals under the title of "Interaction between Iranian & German Nations".
