Short Film News (SFN)- Two Iranian films won the awards of documentary section in the 7th edition of Evora International Short Film Festival, Portugal.
The ceremony of dedicating awards took place last night.
The best documentary award went to Rough Cut by Firouzeh Khosrovani and Cyanosis by Rokhsareh Ghaem Maghami received the special mention of the jury.
The best animation award dedicated to Hot Dog by Bill Plypton and the special mention of animation section was for The Bear’s Hand by Marina Rosset.
In Fiction section, the best award went to Roads by Lior Geller and Mazal by Roy Sher received the special mention.
The Best European Short Film Award went to As It is Done! from Belgium and The Bellringer, an animation from Switzerland won the award of Super Short (up to 5 minutes running time).
Chicken Stew won the Best Portuguese Short Film Award and Don Quijote Award dedicated to Mazal.
Hot Dog, also, won RTP Award and the audience award went to Big Buck Bunny by Sacha Goedegebure.
The 7th edition of Evora International Short Film Festival started on 21st November in Evore, Portugal, and it has a tribute program to Manoel de Oliviera, the famous Portuguese filmmaker.
