Zoom Festival's Top Award Goes To Iranian Short

Short film News (SFN) - Iranian short film My Mom Has a Long Shadow by Kaveh Ghahremany won the Grand Prize at 2009 Zoom - Zblizenia Film Festival in Poland.

The prize for the best animated film went to Iranian animator Mehrdad Sheikhan  for Solitude, and Marek Straszak from Poland received the best experimental film award for The clock.

Polish filmmakers Paweł Jozwiak-Rodan and Krzysztof Jankowski won the prizes for the best documentary and feature films.

The prize for the best independent film went to Lucas Figueora for Because There Are Things You Never Forget, and In the Crowd by Agnieszka Konarska won the prize for the best amateur film.

The jury gives the prize for the best student film to Barbara Białowas for My New Way and Made in Karkonosze Prize to Przemysław Filipowicz's Glue.

The Jury including Robert Gonera, Marjan  Riahi, Daniel Antosik, Stanisław  Lenartowicz, Thomas Kepka, and Witold Kon chose the winners after seeing 71 films from Poland, Czech Republic, Iran, Spain, Germany, Holland and Switzerland.
