Short Film News (SFN)- U.Frame, the Academic Video Film Festival, is going to take place from 1st till 5th October in Porto University of Portugal.
In this festival whose first edition is going to be this year, 2 short films by two Iranian students from Malaysia and America universities are going to be screened.
The official competition of this festival is in 4 sections: Documentary, Fiction, Animation, and Experimental.
In Fiction, 47 films are going to be shown among which you can find An Orange Butterfly by Alireza Khatami from Multimedia University of Malaysia and The Red Wednesday by Nazanin Shirazi from Texas University in Austin, America.
In Animation 19 films, in Documentary 13 films, and in Experimental 15 films have been accepted.
The festival organizers have arranged a special competition for the works produced in the “Second Life” virtual environment and also there is an Online Competition for the films made with mobile phones and videos lasting a maximum of 1 minute.
U. Frame is organized in partnership with University of Courna in Spain and with the aim to promote contacts and exchanges between students in the area of audiovisuals from all over the world and reward the most creative works.
In addition to screen the films, there will be some other programs in this festival such as workshops, exhibitions, and master classes.
