Short Film News (SFN) - Kites Know no Chastity, a short film by Houshmand Variee won an award in 7th edition of St Petersburg Student Film Festival.

The festival which took place from 25th September till 1st October, dedicated the honored diploma of the best fiction short film to this film.

The film was shown in Australia Experimental Films Festival and Odense Festival in Denmark as well and also is one of five Iranian short films accepted in Third Eye Asian film festival in India.

Also, Solitude, a short animation by Mehrdad Sheikhan, won the second award of the authors section in Matita International Animation Film Festival in Italy.

The festival took place from 25th till 28th September in Chieti, Italy.

The film is the story of a stony monster that lived for a long time in a deep solitude in his stony land.
