4 Iranian Short Films in Evora Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- The name list of the selected films for the official section of 7th Evora International Short Film Festival (FIKE) is announced.

This festival is going to be taken place from 16 to 24 November in Evora in Portugal and will show over 100 short films and documentary in two competitive sections.

The four Iranian short films selected for this festival are: The Father (Hadi Afarideh), The First Day of Work (Mohammad Reza Haj Pour), Wind Again, Soundless (Amin Qadami), The Pilgrims of Pomegranate Valley (Ashkan Ahmadi).

In the International Competition the prizes are for the best fiction, best Documentary, best Animation, best European short film, best short film less than 5 minutes, and the audiences' prize.

It was announced before that The Father and The First Day of Work would compete with 13 other films from different countries in the special section of the festival with the subject of Taxi and Urban Mobility as well.

This Year Evora International Short Film Festival received 2052 works from 72 countries and Iran, by sending 152 films to this festival, has the fourth position.

Kamran Shirdel, the well known Iranian documentarist, will participate in this festival as one of the jury members in the international competition and is going to hold a master class for the young filmmakers as well.
