
Short Film News (SFN) - Louise Beaudoin, former Quebecois Minister of Culture and Communications joined the Board of Directors of Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM).
The board also welcomed two other new members: Andreanne Bournival and Jean Lemire.
Beaudoin has played an important political role, most notably in her role as a Minister (Culture and Communications, Intergovernmental Affairs, International Relations) and in the development of the UNESCO Convention on Cultural Diversity. She is currently a professor at the University of Montreal.
Andreanne Bournival who was Director General of Programming at Radio-Canada, TV5 and at Canal D, is currently a consultant in television, cinema and communications.
Jean Lemire has specialized in marine biology for more than 20 years. Recipient of a number of awards, his films have touched and reached audiences of all ages.
Presided over by filmmaker Philippe Baylaucq, RIDM's Board of Directors members include Martin Dube, Zenaide Lussier, Benoit Pilon, Beatrice Keleher Raffoul, Monique Simard and Louise Vandelac.
The 11th RIDM will take place from November 13 -23.
