Short Film News (SFN)- The 5th edition of Madrid International Documentary Film Festival is going to take place from 2 till 11 May in Madrid, Spain.

In this Festival, there is going to be a Michelangelo Antonioni Tribute program, the famous Italian filmmaker, and some of his documentaries are going to be screened.

Madrid International Documentary Film Festival includes International and National Competitions and two documentaries from Iran are participating in the International Competition.

The Blue Song of Mountains by Hamed Khosravi is going to participate in Original Documentaries section and Rough Cut by Firouzeh Khosrowani is going to be screened in Documentary Reporting section which is specified for TV films.

Also in another section: Intimate Elegies, the documentaries by world-famous filmmakers are going to be shown such as Roads of Kiarostami by Abbas Kiarostami and some films by Jean-Luc Godard, Federico Fellini, Orson Welles, Wim Wenders, and Chris Marker.

Intimate Elegies: Nowadays Filmmakers is the title of another section in this festival in which Abbas Kiarostami, Truth and Illusion by Jean-Pierre Limosin made in 1994 is going to be screened and is the story of Kiarostami's travel to the location of his films in North of Iran and finding the cast.

In informative section of Madrid Documentary Festival there are two retrospective programs (Nicolas Philbert and Harun Farocki) and also there is a special program for Arab Films.

In Antonioni Tribute Program of this festival 5 documentaries made by him in different years of his career and during 6 decades are going to be screened.
