
Short Film News (SFN)- The One Man Village, Lebanese Documentary by Simon El Habre won the Grand Prix of 16th edition of HotDocs Festival.
According to this report, the documentary which is the story of a man’s life living in a bleak village, won the award of the Best International Feature Documentary.
The Special Jury Prize in International Feature section dedicated to Cooking History by Peter Kerkes.
Also Rabbit a La Berlin by Bartok Konopka won the Best International Mid-Length Documentary and the award of the Best International Short Documentary went to The Delian Mode by Kara Blake.
In Canadian Film Competition the Best Canadian Feature Documentary went to Invisible City by Hubert Davis and Waterlife by Kevin McMahon won the Special Jury Prize.
Documentary’s Don Haig Award that is $ 20,000 cash dedicated to Brett Gaylor and Tracey Deer and The Lindalee Tracey Award went to Laura Bari and Will Inrig.
HBO Documentary Films Emerging Artist Award went to Chung-ryoul Lee for the documentary: Old Partner.
The 16th edition of HotDocs Festival took place from 30th April till 10th May in Toronto.
