Short Film News (SFN)- The 64th Festival de Cannes has announced nine films in Competition for the Short Film Palme d’Or.
Completing the list of the Official Selection of the 64th Festival de Cannes, and composed this year of nine films from nine different countries, the 2011 competition brings together a great variety of cinematographic concepts, differing in style, genre, length and national origin.
The selections this year are:
Ghost by Ma Dahci from South Korea
Badpakje 46 by Wannes Destoop from Belgium
Soy Tan Feliz by Vladimir Durán from Argentina
Bear by Nash Edgerton from Australia
KjØttsår by Lisa Marie Gamlem from Norway
Meathead by Sam Holst from New Zealand
Ce N’est Rien by Nicolas Roy from Canada
Paternal Womb by Megumi Tazaki from Japan
Cross by Maryna Vroda from France
The Festival de Cannes runs May 11-22 in France and the film director Michel Gondry is to head up the short film and Cinéfondation jury of the Festival.
