Short Film News (SFN)- The 51st Krakow Film Festival’s Dragon of Dragons Award will go to polish animator Piotr Kamler who is one of the grand masters of cinematic animation.
Kamler’s works have received numerous awards, including the Grand Prix of the Annecy festival.
The festival’s three competitions will feature documentaries, animations and fiction movies. The entries will be selected from list of 2700 submissions to the organizers and movies discovered at international festivals.
Three juries consisting of artists, filmmakers, and critics judge the KFF's three competitions. This year jurors include: Tue Steen Muller, member of the Danish Film Institute; Marcin Koszałka, documentary filmmaker from Krakow; Kaleo La Belle, documentary filmmaker, awarded the Golden Horn at the the 50th Krakow Film Festival; Anna Kazejak-Dawid, director, screenwriter'; and Tadeusz Słobodzianek, renowned playwright, author of 'Nasza klasa', which received the NIKE Literary Award in 2010.
The 51st Krakow Film Festival will be held May 23rd-29th 2011 in Poland.
