Short Film News (SFN)- Man on Wire by James Marsh was selected as the Best Documentary Film over 30 minutes long in the 43rd edition of Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
The festival began on 4th July in Czech Republic and finished its work last night. Earlier, Marsh won the jury award for the best documentary and audience award in Sundance Festival and also jury special award and audience award in Full Frame Festival. The documentary is about a man who walked on a wire between the two towers of World Trade Center in New York.
In Documentary Films Competition the award of the Best Documentary Film under 30 minutes long went to Lost World by Gyula Nemes from Hungary & Finland and the Special Jury Mention dedicated to Bigger, Stronger, Faster by Christopher Bell from the U.S.A.
In the Official Selection Competition the Grand Prix went to Terribly Happy by Frygtelig Lykkelig from Denmark.
The Special Jury Prize was dedicated to The Photograph from Indonesia and also Captive from Russia won the Best Director Award.
