Short Film News (SFN)- The winners of short film competition Corto Cortissimo of the Venice Film Festival were announced.

Corto Cortissimo Lion for Best Short Film went to Eersgeborene (First Born) by Etienne Kallos from South Africa, USA.

Venice Nomination to the European Film Awards 2009 goes to Sinner by Meni Philip and Special Mention went to Felicità by Salomé Aleksi from Georgia.

Other winners are:

Leoncino d'oro Award 2009 & Open Award 2009
Capitalism: A love story by Michael Moore

Orizzonti Prize for Best documentary
1428 by DU Haibin from China.

Biografilm Lancia Award - documentary
to Negli occhi  by Francesco Del Grosso and Daniele Anzellotti
