Short Film News (SFN)- The 5th edition of NFB Online Short Film Competition is going to be held in association with the Cannes Short Film Corner.

According to this report, YouTube is cooperating in holding this event and the winners are going to be selected by the votes of internet users.

This year, 10 films from Germany, Australia, Britain, Finland, Greece, Canada, and America were chosen as the final candidate among the 1400 applied films. 

The internet users can watch and vote for these films from 12th till 22nd May.

The winner will be announced by the manager of NFB in 21st May at Cannes and an HD MINI-DV camera and a mobile studio including laptop and editing suite will be dedicated to the selected film.

Short Film Corner that is a forum for the young filmmakers will screen 40 films from different countries this year. You can vote for the final candidate of NFB at www.nfb.ca/cannes
