Sundance 2009 Announces Short Film Awards

Short Film News (SFN) - Short Term 12 by Destin Daniel Cretton and Lies by Jonas Odell won the 25th Sundance Film Festival's short film top awards.

Short Film jurors including Gerardo Naranjo, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Sharon Swart gave the jury prize in short filmmaking to Short Term 12, and the jury prize in international short filmmaking to Lies.

The Jury awarded honorable mentions in short filmmaking to The attack of the robots from Nebula-5 by Chema Garcia Ibarra, Protect You + Me by Brady Corbet, Western Spaghetti by PES, Jerrycan by Julius Avery, Love You More by Sam Taylor-Wood, I Live in the Woods by Max Winston, Omelette by Nadejda Koseva, and Treevenge by Jason Eisener.

Sundance festival's full awards will be announced the evening of January 24 at the awards ceremony at the Park City Racquet Club.
